North East With Dogs

Home / Places to stay / Christmas with the dog

A frosty walk on the beach or the moor, then back to a fire with the dog stretched out in front of it. These inns and hotels take dogs in the bedrooms, going by what they told us or their own website. We haven't checked who is open over Christmas or what's still free, so ring or check their site for festive dates, menus and the dog fee.

Fireworks on New Year's Eve can upset some dogs, so ask for a quieter room if yours is nervous. For a pub by the fire on the day, see dog-friendly pubs with open fires.

Inns and hotels with dog rooms (24)

Confirmed with us by the inn first, then those whose own website says dogs can stay.
